61 ~ I am so grateful for men like Shaun Groves who use their voice to speak for the poor like this:
62 ~ and their time with projects like this:
63 ~ And I am grateful to these bloggers:
64 ~ Amanda Jones, and,
65 ~ Ann VosCamp, and,
66 ~ Lindsey Nobles, and,
67 ~ Lisa-Jo Baker, for going and sharing so those of us who may not be able to go can still SEE and Do something. Like this through Compassion Bloggers, or this through World Vision, or maybe even this through Holt International!
I've been following these bloggers as they traveled to Guatemala City last week and I can't get the people or these verses out of my mind:
"This was the sin of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters were arrogant, overfed, and unconcerned; they did not care for the poor and the needy." Ezekiel 16:49
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27
68 ~ I am so grateful that it takes so little (from my perspective) to "release a child from poverty in Jesus name" by partnering with organizations like Compassion.
