Priye pou Ayiti (Pray for Haiti)

I have admired Rebecca Sower since I read her first book on "Scrapbooking Life's Little Treasures." I not only love her style, I love her heart. Her heart is what I want to share with you today.

Rebecca has had a heart for Haiti long before the earthquake, in fact, she had just returned from there not long before it hit. She'd brought back with her beautiful items handmade by some of her Haitian friends with the plan to set up an etsy shop to sell them; the proceeds going right back to her special friends.

She not only did just that, she has since started a new blog, Haiti By Hand, which is devoted to sharing creative ways we can all help whether we have "extra" money or not. For example, bundle up some art/crafting supplies in pretty packaging and donate to the etsy shop. I'm pretty sure most of us have plenty of extra supplies we could part with, but maybe you don't. Either way why don't you check out the blog and see if there is something you can do? While you are there won't you leave her a word of encouragement? And please, don't forget to priye pou Ayiti...

Hi Debbie, that is so kind of your friend. I feel for the poor people of Haiti, they have suffered so much and hope they will heal one day.
