More ATCs ;)

Yep, I'm having a lot of fun with these! I finished a couple of Art Journal pages today too. Needless to say, my house is a mess! I keep thinking I'll get to it tomorrow, but that just isn't happening. I guess I need to put myself on scrapping restriction!

Whole lotta tradin' goin' on!

This first one, Little Owl Goes the the Orient, was made by Christi for her Little Owl Series. The next four were made by Sandy over at Her Vintage Stage. They are all so cute, I can't pic a fave. Can you?

What's in your bowl?

Until these are gonethis is what I'll be eating for breakfast.Yep, pretty much.

Old Fashioned Oatmeal - 3 fists full
Roasted Walnuts, chopped - 1/2 dozen of so
Craisins - about a dozen
Pure Maple Syrup, none of that nasty faux stuff! - about a tablespoon
Blueberries, fresh from the garden - about 1/4 cup
Milk - just enough to cover
I get everything together soaking in the milk while I pick the berries. Simply delicious.)

Picklelicious ATCs

I just finished these for the Picklelicious ATC swap over on TallyScrapper. It's open to anyone until July 3rd/ Midnight (PST). 80% of the product used must be Rusty Pickle. I had to dig deep in my stash to find some. I used their Pink Collage for the background on hers and their Canadian Words for the background on the his.

Ah, sUmMer!

Today is the first day of summer and I am so happy!

Because it actually feels like summer for the first time in a long time.

I was sitting out back on my faithful old swing reading from my first official day of summer summer- read. The sun warming me slowly at first, then so much that I was forced back inside.

I like to be warm, but not hot! But, if it weren't for the heat I'd never appreciate and survive the long wet winters of the Pacific Northwest.

This is also the first summer of John's retirement, so my mind is busy dreaming of ways to fill our days, but I am also thinking of this Spanish Proverb:

How beautiful it is to do nothing and then rest afterward!

That is, after all, what summer is really for. Don't you agree?

More Ezine Fun

For day four of Teresa's Ezine we were supposed to tell where our day took us, or where we took our day. Since I had the house all to myself yesterday I was determined to spend it doing what I wanted, so this page is about where I took my day :) In case you couldn't tell, lol!

Ezine Fun

Keepin' up with Teresa's Write Place Write Time Ezine - so far! I do need to step up the pace though if I want to stay on track.

The quote from Anne Morrow Lindbergh reads, "One can get just as much exaltation in losing oneself in a little thing as a big thing. It is nice to think one can be recklessly lost in a daisy."

Write Place, Write Time

Today was the perfect day to work on this layout for Teresa's Write Place, Write Time workshop. After a long dreary spring it actually felt like summer today! Better still, the forecast is for more sun all week long!

Did you notice my banner? Rachel made it for me until she can show me how to do it. I want to hand make something special for it. Isn't she a nice daughter? Thanks again, Rachel!

Should I or shouldn't I?

I'm thinking of changing my blog's name. Heart to Art is one of my ideas. Eclectic Treasures or Eclectic Delights are the only others I've come up with so far. Gotta keep my thinkin' cap on to see if there are any more floating around in my brain...

They came!

These are the four panels I got from Karla and Beth's Birds & Bonnets Swap:

Here they are again with the one I made added. It's on the right:

This is what the backs look like. Now mine is on the left:

I think they turned out great! Thank yous to (in order of panels) Eleanor at A Bit of Pink Heaven, Cheryl at Rosey Posey Confections, Tammy at Little Junk Shop, and Sherri at Tied Up In Ribbons! If you want to see more (there were 100 participants!) you can check them out here.

It's not too late

for you to sign up for Teresa's latest project. This month she is holding a summer journal workshop called Write Place, Write Time. I've been wanting to do an art journal for ages. I've even started one and then quit. (Can you relate?) I am hoping her thrice weekly prompts and instructions will be help me to actually finish this one! In fact, I am hoping it will become a lifelong habit.
