Blog Fairy here...

Just flying in to let you know that Debbie's computer is sick, and quit working for her while she was in her trip to Hawaii. Some MIGHT say it's Karma for not taking her DAUGHTER RACHEL with her, other's might say it's just plain the pits.

Whatever YOU call it, she wishes that she could be on here rubbing in -I mean- SHARING her trip with you all! Until her computer gets back from the computer Dr, she won't be on to talk to you. Please don't give up on her! She will be back soon. She is safe, and home, and getting back into the swing of everyday.

Deck of Me Challenge #15, sort of ~ Your parents

This is the picture I would use for this weeks challenge, Your Parents, IF I were home and could print it out! Rather than wait I decided to post it as is. This was taken in 1953 when they were newlyweds. One of the most valuable lessons I learned from them is that all marriages have ups and downs, but, when two people are committed to each other they can make it through even the darkest valleys.

Deck of Me Challenge #14 ~ Birds

I have limited access to the Internet while here in Hawaii, but, Rachel told me what last weeks prompt was, so here's mine. I hope you like it ;)

*Amy, I just altered a postcard I found here in Hawaii for this card. I brought a few basic scrapping supplies with me, like sandpaper and the ColorBox ink (Queue) that I used on the edges and back. They are part of a Cat's Eyes set.

Deck of Me Challenge #13 ~ What's on your mind?

I picked up this postcard of a road covered in lava on our first trip to the Big Island. It was perfect for today's prompt because I'm looking forward to putting on my "slippas" and "reducing my speed" as soon as we get there! Funny, I had no problem with this week's prompt, What's on your mind?, but I'm still in the thinking stage of last week's!

Well, I'd better sign off and finish packing! I'm going to try and keep up with the challenges while in Hawaii. Not sure if I'll be able to post them even if I do, wish me luck...

Computer blues...

I have had problems all month with my Internet connection. I can be right in the middle of something and get dropped. After several unsuccessful attempts to correct the problem over the phone they are finally going to send someone out to check the indoor/outdoor lines, as that is their latest theory as to where the problem lies. Since I am leaving for Hawaii tomorrow, it will have to wait until I get back. Fortunately, I suddenly and unexpectedly regained connection tonight! I actually did a little happy dance when I noticed! I am almost done with my Deck of Me #13 card (still haven't done #12) and hope it will stay connected long enough for me to post it....
