Quick! before I forget...

these are a few of the things I learned or was reminded of on *my walk:

  1. There are a lot of dogs in my neighborhood. A lot!
  2. Sunshine in the wintertime draws people outdoors like honey draws flies.
  3. Sunshine and walking are good for the spirit as well as the body.
  4. Sunshine in the wintertime is especially good for the spirit.
  5. I've never been sorry I took the time to take a walk no matter what the weather was like.
  6. I am always sorry when I've been too lazy to take a walk.
  7. I'm really out of shape.

You've reminded me to take a walk... thank you... and about your other post - I don't think you're whining at all, i think you're debating something really fundamental - ie. trying to work out, as you grow older and become more aware of how precious time is, what is really important to you. What your priorities are. What matters. I think the process of doing this very often involves being sidetracked and sabotaged by one's own thoughts etc until one day something glimmers and you think yes, this is it, this is the thing I want to keep on with. I have two very simple sayings which help me stay on track when I see them written down near my desk: JUST DO THE TASK and STAY FOCUSSED

Thanks Livvy. I always appreciate that you take time out of your busy life to encourage me. You hit the nail right on the head. Hopefully that one day when something glimmers will be soon! Patience isn't my strong suit. Another blogger, Ali Edwards, encouraged her readers to pick a word for the year to be a sort of mantra for themselves. I picked FOCUS, and I'm always repeating the Nike slogan "Just Do It" to myself. Kind of interesting in light of your comment, don't you agree?
