Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I have so much to be thankful for, but, my prayer is that I will always be thankful, no matter what. Just like the couple in the picture...

This song (words & music) by Matt and Beth Redman expresses the desire of my heart perfectly...

Blessed Be Your Name

Blessed be your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be your name
And blessed be your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be your name

Every blessing you pour out I'll
Turn back to praise
And when the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name

Blessed be your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's all "as it should be"
Blessed be your name
And blessed be your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be your name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to stay
Blessed be your name

late night random silliness...

'What" will your obituary say?' at

Gonna blame this post on Elsie Flannigan. I couldn't get to her blog for some reason this morning and was afraid maybe she'd closed it. I just had to try again one more time before going to bed and fortunately she's back online. After reading her "obituary" and the others people left in her comments I had to find out mine. Yep. Sidetracked by the 'ol internet once again! But, it did get me thinking, what would I really like to be in my obituary? Hmmm. Good idea for another post. What about you? How do you want to be remembered?

One of those days-

The terrible,

no good,

very bad type,

like Alexander had.

It started that way.

Went on that way.

And would have ended that way

if I hadn't stopped

and counted

my blessings!

*note to self: next time, count your blessings first...

Earlier this evening...

I was looking out my kitchen window while getting dinner and just had to stop to take a few photos. It has been raining a lot today and they sky was so pretty. This is the view from my swing in the fall.
These are miniature apples on one of my hunny's bonzai trees. They are about the size of cherries. Aren't they cute?

Is the Blog Fairy really the Blog Police?

This is where the other half of this two page "Christmas Memories" layout should be. I was having so much trouble with it and I'd just received a note from the Blog Fairy tsk tsking me for taking so long to post after she'd done it for me, that I decided to just skip it rather than skip this whole post! I'm afraid what she might do if I don't post soon. Shut down my blog?! Even though I'm not as prolific, articulate, creative or funny as a lot of bloggers out there, I, for one, and possibly the only one, would miss my blog!
